Arya Persian Restaurant in San Juan

Excellent food. Tried chicken Biryani and was very tasty. Chicken was tender as well and a very reasonable price. Tried Labban as well and the lamb dish. Nice pita bread and above all... a very friendly staff welcomed us. Trust me this is the only place you want to taste halal food ..

I have tried Persian restaurants in over 10 countries, and I can say with no doubt this is by far the worst one. Half of the dishes I tried to order were not available. The prices were very high compare to 1 person meal ( costed me almost $30 ). The service were hardly "Okay". The meat is very questionable ( I can taste the blood of the animal which is not the case with real halal meat). pita bread were not real pita. The only thing I can say tasted good to okay with the lemon juice (they get 1 star for that). I ended up with stomachache Avoid at all cost.

I love this restaurant (although I am a bit biased [Persian food on the top of the list for cuisine I enjoy] ). I have been enjoying meals at Arya for years now and I feel that the flavors are authentic and accessible. The 'dough' (Laban / yogurt drink) is among the best I have tried* , the kebabs are excellent and the stews are thick and flavorful.There have been a few changes over the years at Arya some good and others not so much.. For example Shrinking portions and high churn on staff means you won't see any familiar faces. Nevertheless, they have my loyalty and I know I can rely on this establishment to deliver a great meal, whenever I am near by. Recommended:Try the Arya sini kebab platter, the ghorme sabsi and geymeh and you won't be disappointed.*salted not sweet is best
